We’re proud to share that three of our search technicians—Clare, David, and Patrick—have successfully completed the intensive Lowland Rescue Search Operations Officer course at the Emergency Services Training Centre (ESTC) in Birkenhead.

This demanding programme covered every aspect of managing a search operation, including the frameworks necessary to coordinate effectively with UK emergency services. As part of their final assessment, they were challenged with a high-pressure, classroom-based search scenario. Working from information provided by the search planner, they had to lead a complex operation—allocating resources effectively while managing real-time distractions, simulated ambient noise, and interruptions from external parties.
