The exercise focussed on assessing and rescuing residents from simulated properties that had been cut off by a flood event.

Teams from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue along with the BLSAR water team were deployed to identify which residents had remained in their property, assess their immediate needs and prioritising rescuing the most vulnerable residents, we were able to use our new Mega sled which ensured all the evacuated residents were rescued safely and kept dry.

In the background the command cell co-located and used JESIP principles to ensure all the agencies (including Slough Town Council, SCAS and TVP) fed vital information into the Joint Decision Model to ensure the operation was managed safely leading to a successful with everyone accounted for
